Faust/Foust family Ohio 1800's

Bev and I are embarking on a new journey to walk in the footsteps of our pioneering ancestors in Ohio.  They surveyed the first roads in Central Ohio, built the first bridge over the Delaware River, fought in the War of 1812 to keep our independence and then joined the War of the Rebellion.

My father, born in Ohio but not sharing many of it's tales, was removed from the state when my grandfather worked with the USGS.  A geologist and an artist, my grandfather was a cheerful man who loved to show me his gem, rock, and arrowhead collections.  I was told my great-grandfather taught art in Canton, but the census records show he was the Supervisor of Penmanship.

Taking a trip to Ohio should make these names and numbers on our genealogical chart come to life!  I want to love my ancestors just as I love my immediate family.  I can do that by walking in their shoes in the place they settled at the beginning of the 1800's.
